An overall BIG thank you to everyone who came out to SportAbility’s BBQ social on Saturday. The event was a great success! The weather was beautiful, we had lots of yummy food, and we had a good flow of around 50 people come join us in our celebration! Sharlene Lobo and Karina Lee did a wonderful job organizing the BBQ and making sure that everything went smoothly that day!
And of course, without a barbecue, our BBQ event wouldn’t have been a success at all. Thank you to Roddy Petursson and Claire Sakowski for bringing their BBQ out for us to use, and being troopers for barbecuing for everyone in the heat!
Special thanks to Chris Duehrsen who helped SportAbility host the BBQ. He led Frisbee-Golf Tournaments and made sure that everyone had a great time playing it! Tee-time started at 2:00pm and continued in 30 minute increments. Without much practice, the Dewitt family came out of the first tournament winning as victors! They will be receiving a call from SportAbility regarding their prize!
SportAbility hopes that everyone had a great time, and for those who couldn’t make it, we hope you still had a great weekend and hopefully we will see you at the next BBQ!
